Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how LevelUp (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you use the LevelUp mobile app and related services at levelupself.app.
LevelUp supports daily planning, training, focus, discipline, and AI-assisted judgment and accountability. LevelUp is operated by LevelUp.
LevelUp may process user-entered reflection, planning, training, focus, and AI chat content to generate feedback, summaries, plans, and other app functionality. By using LevelUp, you agree to this policy.
LevelUp is not medical advice, therapy, crisis support, or certified professional coaching.
Information we collect
We collect information needed to operate accounts, planning, training, focus, AI features, diagnostics, optional integrations, and subscriptions where those features are enabled in your version of the app.
Account information
- Account identifiers and email address
- Authentication and session metadata
- Subscription or entitlement status where applicable
Account and backend services are provided through Supabase (authentication and database). Hosting region: EU North (Stockholm, Sweden).
Profile and onboarding information
- Display name, avatar, or profile photo if uploaded
- Onboarding or baseline answers
- Preferences, units, and synced account settings
Daily planning data
- Planned blocks, tasks, task groups, schedules, and completion state
- Custom block types and planning preferences
Some data may be stored on your device and synchronized when online.
Workout and training data
- Workout sessions, exercises, sets, reps, weight, duration, and effort metrics
- Generated plans, verdicts, muscle or recovery signals, and history
- Strength goals, body metrics, and statistics you enter
- Optional workout or progress photos if you upload them
Uploaded files may be stored in Supabase Storage.
Apple Health (HealthKit)
Apple Health access is optional. If you grant access, Biological Energy reads permitted sleep samples from Apple Health (HealthKit). Raw imported sleep and modern readiness calculations remain on device and are not uploaded to Supabase. You can continue with manual input without connecting Apple Health (HealthKit).
If you separately enable optional writes, LevelUp may write completed workouts and manually entered sleep records to Apple Health (HealthKit). User-entered sleep, recovery information, preferences, and sync-ledger metadata may sync to Supabase to preserve your settings and safe write state. Records already written remain in Apple Health after LevelUp account deletion unless you remove them in Apple Health.
Focus and session data
- Focus timer presets, sessions, durations, and completion records
- Focus contribution or statistics tied to your account
AI Judge and chat content
- Prompts, messages, and context you submit in AI Judge or AI chat
- Permitted app activity context used to generate feedback or plans
- AI-generated outputs, scores, summaries, and conversation history
Do not submit emergency, medical crisis, or highly sensitive information into AI features. AI output may be inaccurate or unsuitable.
Device, diagnostics, analytics, and crash logs
- Device model, operating system, and app version
- Crash reports, errors, and performance events where enabled
- Operational logs related to reliability, security, or AI functions
Depending on app configuration, we may use third-party services for analytics, crash reporting, or push notifications. Where used, providers may include:
- Analytics: not collected by third-party analytics SDKs in the current app release
- Crash reporting: Sentry (when enabled in the build configuration)
- Push notifications: on-device local notifications only (no remote push provider)
LevelUp uses no ads or tracking.
Payment and subscription data
If you purchase a subscription, billing may be handled through the Apple App Store and Google Play (in-app purchases) and RevenueCat (subscription management), where those features are enabled. We may receive entitlement status, product identifiers, and purchase state. We do not receive your full payment card number from app stores.
How we use information
- Provide and secure your account
- Run planning, focus, training, stats, and profile features
- Generate AI feedback, plans, chat responses, and accountability features
- Sync data across devices where designed
- Provide support and process deletion requests
- Maintain reliability, debug issues, prevent abuse, and protect the service
- Manage subscriptions where enabled
AI processing notice
Before the first user-initiated AI request, LevelUp asks you to allow processing by OpenAI. If you allow it, LevelUp may send the text you enter, photos you choose to attach, relevant activity, workout, focus, plan, and identity context, plus derived app energy and recovery facts. Requests pass through our backend, including Supabase Edge Functions; the OpenAI credential is not embedded in the app.
LevelUp does not send raw Apple Health sleep samples, sleep stages or timestamps, HealthKit identifiers, or the modern readiness payload or score to OpenAI. AI use is optional. If you decline, non-AI features remain available. You can enable or revoke future OpenAI access in Data & Privacy. Revocation blocks future requests but does not erase prior AI outputs stored in your account.
Data sharing and subprocessors
We may share data with service providers that help operate LevelUp, such as hosting, authentication, storage, AI, diagnostics, payments, push notifications, and support.
Service providers may include:
- Supabase — authentication, database, storage, and backend functions
- OpenAI — AI processing
- Apple App Store and Google Play — in-app purchases, where used
- RevenueCat — subscription management, where enabled
- Crash reporting: Sentry (when enabled in the build configuration)
- Analytics: not collected by third-party analytics SDKs in the current app release
- Push notifications: on-device local notifications only (no remote push provider)
- Email/support tooling: support@levelupself.app
We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.
Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Some data may remain in backups, security logs, or legal records for a limited time after deletion. Records already written remain in Apple Health after LevelUp account deletion unless you remove them in Apple Health.
Account deletion
You may delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete Account) or via our Delete Account page. See that page for what is deleted, what may be retained, and expected processing time (typically within 30 days).
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to exercise rights. We may need to verify your identity.
Children and minors
LevelUp is not directed to children under the minimum age required in your jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. Contact us if you believe a child provided data without consent.
International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including regions where Supabase and other providers operate (primarily EU North (Stockholm, Sweden) for Supabase and other provider regions, as applicable). Safeguards may apply where required by law.
Security
We aim to use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect personal information, including access controls and encryption in transit where supported by our providers. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.
